If there were one way you can generate real money from the internet, it would be through affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is the process of selling or promoting a product or a service in behalf of another company. If you join an affiliate network, you'll be compensated for every sale that a customer makes out of your marketing effort. You will be paid a certain percentage of the sale whenever applicable.

In order to earn from affiliate marketing, what you need is traffic. You need people who would inspect the products or services that you are offering off the internet. And of course, the most important thing of all is that you motivate them to buy. If there's no sale, there's no commission. And that plainly means you won't earn a single centavo.

You don't need to own a website to earn in affiliate marketing. But of course, it would be better if you do. You can use your own website to inform your visitors and prospects about the products and services you are offering. However, affiliate programs today gives their members a full link that they can call their own, use it, and promote it anytime they want. All you have to do is to endorse that link all over internet so you'll get the traffic you need.

To earn though affiliate marketing, you have to be resourceful, hardworking, and patient. Keep in mind that sales don't happen overnight. People don't just take out their credit cards from their wallets after a short sales pitch from you. You won't get rich overnight. But if you work consistently enough, you will earn eventually.

Start promoting your affiliate links everywhere it is allowed. You can use forums, blog spots, and social networking sites. Let everybody know that you are supporting a product or a service. That's not a very bad idea. After all, if you really want to earn some, you have to be bold enough to volunteer your products, on forums more preferably, every time you feel that another person needs it.

Affiliate marketing is not much different from face-to-face selling. The only advantage is that you don't have to show your face to earn at all. Your presence over the internet should be good enough. And if you made the right contacts, you will certainly cash in all the good rewards.

If you are seriously considering writing and submitting articles to publishing sites to promote your website and products on the World Wide Web, these tips can help you jumpstart your article marketing campaign:

1. You must know how to write. Unless you have the resources to hire ghostwriters, you must be able to produce articles that are easy to read, content-rich, flow well, and useful to your target market. Read popular articles that are currently posted on article submission sites and identify their strengths. You can use these to make your articles effective.

2. Sign up with major article submission sites. Today, there are hundreds of publishing sites but only few of them are receiving massive traffic. Some of these sites are EzineArticles, goarticles, and articledashboard. Make sure that you read each of their rules and terms of service so you can design your articles to fit their standards.

3. Write and submit your articles. Write about topics that are closely relevant to your products and services. You can also talk about issues that might be affecting your potential clients. Don't forget to create a powerful resource box to entice your readers to visit your website. Then, submit your articles to major publishing sites.

4. Track down the performance of your articles online. Constantly check the click through rates of your articles and monitor your website traffic if it is improving. If you are not getting your desired results, assess your marketing strategies. You may need to improve your content, submit more articles, or make your resource box more compelling.

5. Be patient. Don't fret if you are not receiving huge traffic during the first couple of weeks of using article marketing. It may take some time before you will see noticeable change on your page views. Just keep on writing and submitting your articles and you'll be sure to reap great rewards in a couple of months.

Viral marketing is a methods of list building

There are multiple methods of list building, and if you are just getting started, until you have gained mastery over one or two methods, it is advisable to use multiple methods of list building strategies. You’ll see every step of the process, no matter how small, in exacting detail so

The myth of autopilot income from articles is truly a myth. I know I'm going to receive a ton of flak for this, but there's no such thing as truly automated income from article marketing. The reason for that is this: articles lose some of their traffic generation power after some time, you'll have to keep pumping them out to keep your profits coming in. Information is growing exponentially online; if you don't continuously release new content, your traffic will drop.

It's also not good enough to submit five to ten articles a month. Many article marketers simply submit a number of articles similar to that and stop. Totally. They don't see results and they give up! Five to ten articles will never create hundreds of visitors to your websites, you have to be pumping them out in the hundreds to see any "real" traffic.

Go to sites like Ezine Articles. The top writers churn out hundreds and thousands of articles and they are doing it for a reason. Because it works. It works in generating traffic, and it's also a great branding tool. Having hundreds of articles out there is a great credibility weapon.

I don't care if you are marketing affiliate products, an ecommerce store, an eBay store, or selling your own digital products. Article marketing works, but only if you work it. Most people give it a try and declare that it doesn't work. Maybe they are too lazy to write the articles. Well, if you have a bundle of extra cash, you can certainly outsource the articles. But if you don't, you'll just have to keep churning them out. The rewards will be totally amazing.

This is the first article in a six part series on how you can get indexed in the most important search engines on the internet. These search engines include Google, Yahoo, MSN, Exactseek, and Alexa. These sites cover over 80 percent of the searches done on the internet, so it's well worth the effort to prepare your site correctly, and submit it to these search engines.

Before you do any kind of promotion on the internet, you need to make sure that your site is properly prepared for the search engines. The reason is that the search engines will be the main way that others find you on the internet.

If you haven't optimized your site for the search engines, now is the time to do it.

There are two tools that you can use, that are absolutely free, to optimize your website. Keep in mind that your main focus should be on optimizing individual pages for various keyword terms on your topic.

Good Keywords - http://www.goodkeywords.com - This tool will tell you what others are searching for, as well as how often the search terms are searched for in a month. Windows.

Web CEO - http://www.webceo.com - This software suite will not only help you optimize your pages for the search engines, but it will help you find link partners, as well as keyword terms, and you can use it to submit to other lesser known search engines. Windows and MAC.

It is beyond the scope of this article to teach you how to optimize your site for the search engines. Web CEO contains step by step documentation that will teach you everything you need to know about search engine optimization.

What's important here is that you find out specifically what keywords and keyword phrases searchers are looking for when searching. If you optimize your site for the wrong keyword search terms, either no one will find you, or you will have so much competition, you won't be able to get your site to rank very high.

Most searchers won't go beyond the first three pages of results. Rank below this, and you'll have a tough time being found.

Another important point to remember is that each of the main search engines is different. You can optimize your site for Google, which is the most important search engine right now, but you can optimize your site for indexing in all of the major search engines if you do it right.

Avoid techniques like keyword stuffing, redirect pages that are unrelated to your site, and junk pages. Multiple domains pointing to the same site or a mirror site are a definite no no.

Although there is some debate these days about using other writers' articles because of the duplicate content rule, remember that all of the major search engines are full of duplicate content.

Using articles written by other authors is a great way to provide value to your site visitors, but you will want to write a few of your own articles. By writing your own articles, you can optimize them for your keyword terms, something you can't do with other writers' articles.

When you write your articles, convert them to HTML and then use Web CEO to optimize them for your keyword terms. Make sure you focus on no more than two to three terms per page, or you will have problems optimizing your page. You want your articles to make sense, and you want them to provide value to your readers.

Finally, once you've optimized your site, you'll want to make sure that you submit them to the major search engines. Although there is some debate these days over whether or not this is necessary, the major search engines aren't perfect, and they don't always update properly.

Once you've submitted your sites, you can move on to the next steps in your internet marketing campaign. Resubmit only when you've made major changes to your sites.

Search engine optimization and submission is a long term marketing strategy. Good ranking, as well as good coverage of your site won't happen overnight. It will happen though if you stick to good search engine optimization techniques to improve your site's ranking.

There are multiple methods of list building, and if you are just getting started, until you have gained mastery over one or two methods, it is advisable to use multiple methods of list building strategies. You’ll see every step of the process, no matter how small, in exacting detail so

A few years ago, the United States legislature decided to put the hammer down on spam emails. Though it didn't really help much because spammers are international, if you're a U. S. citizen, you're bound to follow the law.

"I only send about 500 messages a month. Why would they bother me?" you may think. But even if that's the case, you're still liable. It only takes one spam complaint to shut you down or worse. You're probably already protected in some ways if you use a reputable autoresponder program. But if you're using your own autoresponder or mail system, then you should take note. Plus, some parts of the law will still apply.

Here's basically what the law says:

*You cannot have false or misleading information in your email headers or in the "From" and "To" lines and you must give accurate routing information, including the place where your domain originates and your proper email address. It must also identify you as the person who sent the email.

*You may not use misleading subject lines. You cannot deceive the recipient about what's inside the email.

*You must include an opt-out method, and provide a return email address. And when someone unsubscribes, you must honor their request.

Any opt-out method used must be active for at least 30 days from the time you send the message, and you have 10 business days to remove people who asked to be removed from your list. You can't transfer your list to another person, and you can't sell it.

*You must identify your message as an advertisement and you have to include your physical mailing address.

That's it in a nutshell. But there are other things to remember when you're list building and emailing out to other people. First, don't buy lists of email addresses--ever. Harvesting of email addresses is also against the law. Take time to set up a proper list building page that transmits names and email addresses to an autoresponder that will automatically confirm subscriptions. This is called "double opt-in," and it will save you from getting into trouble. The law doesn't say that you have to do this. It's just more protection in case a spam complaint ever arises.

And never neglect to include a link so that people can opt out, and indicate the link's purpose. When you use an online autoresponder service, this is taken care of for you. But if you have your own autoresponder or another mail program, you have to be sure that these elements are included. Otherwise, you face up to an $11,000 fine, and you could be sent to jail. It's not worth ignoring the law.

Is it?
