This can be easily done for free through blogs, my personal favorite being the blogspot which is operated by Google. You can add site feeds, news feeds, and even ads which mirror the content on your blog making your blog more fluid. This presence should also serve less as an affiliation with whatever particular income source you have right now, and more as a resource guide on that particular industry. This can also easily be done by linking a variety of other similar resources on your blog.

3- Synergize your efforts

This can be accomplished very easily if you have followed the two steps above. Now that you have an ample amount of written publications in circulation, you have a source blog which displays your own personal thoughts on the industry, it is time to pull these two together and create an explosive marketing campaign which sets you apart from all the other hokey ads out there.

This particular step may be more difficult for some than others, however it can create a binding effect which will bring together your previous efforts and create more exposure than each individual marketing piece.

Create a website that links all of these together. If you can successfully accomplish this than I have now given you some basic strategies that SEO companies use on their own clients. You have just saved yourself hundreds of marketing dollars simply by being informed. The ability to link your different materials, place your person website in the core of this information, and set yourself apart as an expert is the key to becoming a presence online.

4- Integrate with the Traditional Advertising

Most people do not limit themselves to online marketing, and yet they somehow fail to miss the simple step that will substantially boost their qualified lead rate. In every form of direct mail, e-mail, newspaper ads, signs, banners, calendars, etc., make sure that it all points to your website. However if you really want to retain these qualified customers, simply input a form on your website that will offer your potential client or customer some form of information or service upon entering their own information. These forms are free and easy to find all over the web. Simply do a Google search for "Free input forms for website" and you should find a plethora of pre-coded forms to copy and paste in your websites HTML code.

5- Create an urgent CALL TO ACTION

In every form of advertising, in every publication or print ad, make sure that in some way you are letting your customer know that if they do not respond to your website in some way they are missing out on something valuable. Each industry differs in which way you would do this, but for a Mortgage Broker it might say, "Get a free quote from me on your next loan - mywebsite.com".

Some other proven methods have been using negative words to create curiosity. "Best Consulting Nationwide - Don't Believe it? Don't Call. 1-800-mynumber"

There are various ways to inspire a person's curiosity, you have to determine which way your target market will most likely respond to. One of the most amusing examples of this I have seen is:

"Liberals Hate It. 99.99FM"

Whatever form of marketing you are using, these steps should serve as a simple outline with some free tips on how to synergize your marketing efforts and create a free presence online without spending thousands of dollars on SEO companies or advertisements.
